In case you've overdosed on the DNC video script...
I've got some alternative videos, and they are partisan. Absentee is a Redstate blogger who videotaped Recreate68 and other groups trying shut down FoxNews reporter Griff Jenkins [WARNING: profane language]...
...and here's absentee's summation:
These protesters speak of freedoms, but they practice oppression. They speak of fairness, but they practice injustice. They speak of tolerance, but they act with hate. This is who marched on Denver today.
Recreate68 and the rest will be here all week. I wonder if Minneapolis will be their next stop.
One of the things that Barack Obama intends to do this week is get his story out and help the American people get to know him a little better. Some anti-Obama groups are trying to do the same thing. American Issues Project is a conservative 501(c)4 group, and here's their entry on Bill Ayers:
If John McCain had a longtime relationship with a right-wing extremist and unrepentant domestic terrorist like Eric Rudolph, don't you think Democrats might highlight such a relationship? The Dems certainly did so when John Hagee endorsed McCain.
Here's one on the New Party, a far left group that endorsed Obama in 1996, and it was an endorsement that Obama actively sought:
I'm not sure who did the YouTube, but I disagree with the statement that Obama receieved a "communist party endorsement", and the New Party began in 1992, not 1996. But the New Party's manifesto is here, and they're pretty far left. Erick Erickson has a piece on Obama and the New Party here. Maybe it's just me, but I get uncomfortable when Obama has been so comfortable with so many far left-wing people and groups, and it's an indicator that Obama's political views are (or at least were) much further to the left than he's letting on. Either that or he aligned himself for political expedience. It's hard to say for sure, but the questions are out there.
Here's a Vets for Freedom ad on the surge strategy and Obama's denial of its success:
Discuss!
[Update I:] In for a penny, in for a pound. Here's Volume I of the Obamamessiah Chronicles...
...and Volume II.
I liked the Biden cameo. Speaking of Biden, here's a blast from the past and it's kind of endearing.
OK. I think I've got it out of my system now.
[Update II:] Not quite yet. What the heck is Bill Clinton thinking?
The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee. He said: "Suppose you're a voter, and you've got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don't think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?"
Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: "This has nothing to do with what's going on now."
Other than candidate X sounding a lot like Obama and candidate Y a lot like McCain, it has nothing to do with what's going on now. And Bill Clinton used to be such a spectacularly good politician. Or maybe he still is...
Oh, and he's some more street theater, including a death threat on Michelle Malkin:
Two observations come to mind. One, the journalists outnumbered the protesters and, two, Alex Jones showed once again that he is a complete buffoon.

Re: the Recreate68 video:
We're a diverse nation of 300 million people. At media-intensive events there will often be members of tiny fringe groups whose positions and/or conduct (particularly in an angry mob atmosphere) are considered excessively extreme and inappropriate by all but perhaps a tiny percentage of Americans. I don't think folks should use their views and conduct as straw men, as if they were representative of some much, much larger group, such as all those who want us to withdraw most troops from Iraq per Obama's timetable, or who support Obama over McCain, or who are liberals, or who think Fox News is lame, etc.
In other words, if those folks are a**holes, so what? What's the point?

Wow -- a leading Republican appears to have just inadvertently admitted that the GOP's spin machine set up to counter Barack Obama during the convention is a propaganda machine spewing nothing but lies.
The GOPer in question is Colorado GOP chairman Dick Wadhams, who accidentally made the admission when describing the GOP's war room in Denver set up to hammer Obama during convention week.
Wadhams described the GOP's outfit thusly to the Denver Post: "Just consider this the Ministry of Truth."
Um, as anybody who has ever read George Orwell knows, the Ministry of Truth exists to disseminate false propaganda about how great the ruling regime is, continuously rewriting both history and the present-day facts in order to maintain total control over the population.
"The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation," Orwell wrote. "These contradictions are not accidental, nor do they result from ordinary hypocrisy; they are deliberate exercises in doublethink."

The last one is misleading also... Obama Concedes That Surge Didn't Go As He Expected
21 Jul 2008 08:19 pm
Sen. Barack Obama said it was "fair" to notice that he did not anticipate that the surge of U.S. troops into Iraq would be coincident with the so-called Sunni Awakening and the decisions of Shia militias to reduce their footprints, the combination of which led to measurable declines in violence.
In an interview with ABC's Terry Moran, Obama said that he "did not anticipate, and I think that this is a fair characterization, the convergence of not only the surge but the Sunni awakening in which a whole host of Sunni tribal leaders decided that they had had enough with Al Qaeda, in the Shii’a community the militias standing down to some degrees. So what you had is a combination of political factors inside of Iraq that then came right at the same time as terrific work by our troops. Had those political factors not occurred, I think that my assessment would have been correct."
Moran noted that Obama had claimed that the surge "would not make a significant dent in the violence."
Responded Obama: "In the violence in Iraq overall, right. So the point that I was making at the time was that the political dynamic was the driving force between that sectarian violence. And we could try to keep a lid on it, but if these underlining dynamic continued to bubble up and explode the way they were, then we would be in a difficult situation. I am glad that in fact those political dynamic shifted at the same time that our troops did outstanding work."
"But," asked Moran,"if the country had pursued your policy of withdrawing in the face of this horrific violence, what do you think Iraq would look like now?"
Obama said it would be hard to speculate. "The Sunnis might have made the same decisions at that time. The Shii’as might have made some similar decisions based on political calculation. There was ethnic cleansing in Baghdad that actually took the violence level down," he said.
Obama also told Moran that there were circumstances under which he could revise his instruction to U.S. generals to begin withdrawing combat brigades at the pace of one-to-two per month.
"I've always reserved the right, uh, to say---let's say that ethnic, uh, ethnic fighting broke out once again---I've reserved the right to say---I don't--I'm not going to stand idly by if genocide is occurring. I'm not going to stand idly by if vital United States interests are at stake. Um, so in that sense yes, I retain the flexibility anyone who in the job of commander in chief is constantly reassessing facts, risks, and so forth."

He credited the work of the troops, which is fairly pedestrian, but not the strategy that the troops employed. In July 2007, Obama was intent on removing troops even if genocide were occurring, so his "always said" business is simply false.
Your point re ACORN could have been made with a few links instead of a massive cut-and-paste. As for ACORN being mainstream, so is Bill Ayers according to the Obama campaign. Doesn't mean it's so.

The donor, spokesman Christian Pinkston said, is Dallas billionaire Harold Simmons, who made his first fortune in chain pharmacies and is now listed as the 73rd richest person in the world, with a net worth estimated by Forbes at $2.1 billion.
Simmons, a major Republican donor, gave maximum $2,300 contributions to Senator John McCain last year, as well as to former Governor Mitt Romney and to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

'Fox news is PR for the government!'
'Rupert Murdoch sucks!'
'Fox is a corporate whore!'
At least they know a little sumthin + feel passionate about it.
Anyway, why should a Fox news reporter expect to be treated perfectly civilly in a group of leftist protesters?
There's all kinds of places I wouldn't expect to do my normal thing w/out getting harangued. Do hipsters expect to ironically mingle in a biker bar w/out getting hassled?
It doesn't disturb me in the slightest that Fox reporters can't waltz in and uncontroversially collect their news as if they're some sort of disinterested dispensers of information.
They've got a PoV and it p*sses some people off. Big deal.

I'd also grant that it would have been better if the Fox News crew had not entered the cage with the demonstrators in search of a confrontation and it would also have been better if the demonstrators had simply ignored them. Though my preference, given the fact that the Fox crew had been stalking them for days, would have been to pie them.
