(#72532)I watch the sunday shows every few weeks for a bit and every once in a while catch the deaths... The names ages and home towns... I sometimes wonder about who they really are as people. I peek in sometimes but rarly comment at wings.. I can't say I recall reading him. Still his post seems to show how classy a guy he was and makes me understand that sometimes the debate in abstract fails to show the human impact and the need to understand that policy of all stripes has one even if you and yours are not effected.
In some ways that is why I sometimes think that our news fails to show us the truths. I watched the HBO special awhile back on Bagdad ER... The combat equivalent of the Trauma room.... (The professionalism in that hour was amazing)...
It reminded me that we do not at times respect the jobs done in our name and it also shows me that we have an obligation to our veterans that should never be sub-standard...
