World Cup Victory For Rent

To: All countries serious about winning the World Cup in 2010

During the prior World Cup we vacationed in two countries – Italy and France. Those two countries made the finals, and the country where my lodgings were more relaxing and luxurious, Italy went on to win it all. 'Pure coincidence' one might scoff, yet I've just returned from vacation, and again I'd only set foot in two countries – Spain and Germany. Again, the country where my lodgings were more relaxing and luxurious, Spain went on to win it all in the Euro Cup. Not only that, Spain ended a 40+ year drought in major championships; is it a coincidence that I had not returned to Spain in over 40 years? Or that they overcame the dreaded yellow jersey curse while we enjoyed the game at a bar packed with locals (and one lone American family) in a tiny village in Andalucía?

In 2010, we will vacation again, can you risk that we might find relaxing ambiance and tasteful luxury in some country other than yours? Appropriate offers to secure the Cup for your country may be posted here.
