Food Will Win The War & Help China & Wheat is For The Troops!
I missed the College Games today...I should have been working...but I had the opportunity to photograph WWII Poster Art....I should be working now instead of playing around with this....
But this seems important, a clear window into another time...I step back and wonder and marvel at...what I vaguely remember myself.
People today, the emotional distance from there, within my lifetime is...staggering.
Look upon this work and Tremble and Admire them for....just surviving.
God we are so spoiled and whiny.
(Me too)
Sigh, Traveller

And left without comment...I suspect that the image will evoke a more recent remembering of this image, this posture, this way...for the means of the torturer are timeless.

Best Wishes, Traveller

The last chance our country had to willingly sacrifice for the common good was right after 9/11. If Dubya has used that goodwill to rally the country into becoming energy independent in 20 years then he might have changed the world for the better. Instead he used that goodwill to fool people like me into thinking Saddam Hussein was a threat to our country. He also cut taxes while we were fighting two wars.
It is sad that one man, Dubya, bears such a heavy burden for the state of things today, but things like 9/11 don't happen often. It was a huge opportunity wasted.

)It was a huge opportunity wasted.
Wasted if Bush's goals and your goals were in alignment. He may have gotten what he wanted out of the opportunity.
Tax cuts. A stronger Executive. Enduring military presence in Mesopotamia.

| parent )I realize Bush's goals are his own. That was actually my point.
A national tragedy like 9/11 is, thank God, exceedingly rare. Nothing Bush has done will outlast the next President. IMO, he squandered a great opportunity to change things for the better.
